Teresa Conboy applies her combined writing, public relations, marketing skills and extensive understanding of broadcast media to her Marketing efforts for Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope and Epic Adventures. She also had her own "epic adventure" living overseas on the island of American Samoa for two years in the '60s when her father accepted a job with the Samoan school system. "It was very forward thinking of my teacher father to make such a move in 1966, and it really helped shape my views early on, living in another culture."
Teresa has over 20 years experience in the public relations field having worked with an array of diverse clients in music and the arts.
She successfully secured product endorsements for musicians from guitar, amp, and drum manufacturers, in addition to product donations and/or sponsorships for events from such companies as Sony Music, Smithsonian/Folkways, Hodder & Stoughton Publishers U.K., Skirball Cultural Center, Hohner Harmonicas, Penguin/Viking, Converse and Los Angeles area radio stations. Concurrently, she also worked as a freelance writer contributing articles to industry trade publications and doing script/story analysis in addition to transcribing numerous media footage for TV and film production companies.
Teresa was also Associate Producer and co-host of Pacifica Radio's Los Angeles station, KPFK 90.7 FM's blues music show for four years. After two decades, she left her freelance PR business to concentrate on writing short stories and have a wider playing field in which to apply her accumulated skills and understanding of various facets of media, literature and music.
